I’m a devoted, if not religious, Harry Potter reader. I’m in love with the whole series, i love every characters in it, and so sad that we have no more of the series to look forward to.
99% of the time I prefer the book to the movie version, but still, i find myself waiting anxiously for the HP & half blood prince’s premier. The movie was undeniably good and better than the previous ones i think. One interesting bit of magic in this series is the unbreakable vow
An Unbreakable Vow is a magical incantation in which one wizard makes an oath to another. If the person who accepts the conditions of the Unbreakable Vow breaks them, they die. The spell involves the two wizards joining their hands, and a third person, designated as a “Bonder”.
Severus Snape made an Unbreakable Vow to Narcissa Malfoy, with Bellatrix Lestrange serving as their Bonder, with Snape vowing to watch over and protect Narcissa’s son Draco from harm as he attempts to fulfill the Dark Lord’s wishes, and, if necessary, carry out the deed the Dark Lord order Draco to perform; kill Albus Dumbledore. Snape fulfilled his vow by killing Dumbledore during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower.
If all marriage should be lagalized by performing Unbreakable Vow, that will put the divorce rate down to zero i think… awesome magic! ehhehehhe
